MALBEC
CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Los Muros is the result of no detail being overlooked. Hand-picked Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes carefully chosen from selected parcels in our high elevation vineyard, combined with a tiered aging process, deliver the right balance of oak. This is an unapologetic, elegant wine with an intense red color and a powerful, fruity taste.

Grapes: Las Compuertas, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza
Altitude: 1070 meters above sea level
Irrigation: Drip
Varietal Composition: 87% Malbec, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon
Production: 16 to 24 months in French oak barrels (20% first use and 80% second use).

Vinification

After manually harvesting a unique selection of grapes, a cold maceration takes place over the course of four days, followed by a malolactic fermentation at 78.8°F, during which optimal movement of the wine occurs to give the wine its depth. A post-fermentation maceration follows whereby the temperature is maintained at 82.4°F in order to optimize its aromatic potential.

Tasting Notes

This wine produces an intense red color with violet tones and black reflections. Its complex aroma has undertones of red fruits, blackberries and chocolate. The palate is intense. The excellent balance of the oak and the unique Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics deliver a powerful, fruity and elegant wine.
